Eye-pressure, visual-field and OCT assessments
An eye examination may include eye-pressure measurement, assessment of the optic nerve and visual-field testing where appropriate. OCT adds cross-sectional images that help the optometrist assess retinal and optic-nerve changes. No single measurement or scan can identify every eye condition; findings are considered together and referral may be recommended.
